So, in an effort to better myself this year, I thought I’d explore new opportunities to make fashion meaningful in other ways that simply “looking good”. To that effect, I’ve opened my eyes to some new companies out there who make it their life’s work to make sure others needs are being met.
The first company I’ve come across I’ve had the privilege of working with: Noonday Collection. Started in 2011, Jessica Honegger began making jewelry as a way to afford to adopt her son from Rwanda. Since then, it has exploded into a revolution to help poverty-stricken families in Uganda, Ethiopia, and Ecuador while creating beautiful and unique pieces of artistic jewelry in the process.
I was greatly taken aback by how earthy and tribal these pieces feel. Some of my favorites–The Gatsby Necklace and Sea Stone earrings are right on track with this spring’s metallic and royal blue trends.
This dress was a recent find from Marshalls this spring and I’m loving the cutout details and naturally–the aztec pattern. It’s always clutch to have a comfy white cotton dress to throw on those days you’re not sure what to wear. Today, it was 70 and windy so I threw on a jean jacket and some western-style leather booties.
Anyways…I hope you all have had a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend! I’m sad that my 9 day “spring break” has ended and that I am returning to work tomorrow but I think I’m ready for it. I do miss the students! It’s definitely been a week packed with reading, relaxing by the pool, going out to eat (okay, a little too much!), and spending time with Nate and the roomies. We’ve had a ton of fun.

With festival season in full swing, it’s easy to see why lace, crochet, and distressed denim are taking center stage in the fashion trends lately! Personally, I’m loving this chance to be creatively wild yet relaxed at the same time.
This month, Miss Me and I have teamed up to bring you the most casual-glam outfit to you that is reminiscent of festival time in spring. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because it’s the perfect time to rejuvenate yourself while reinventing your routines and style.
This spring, I’ve tried my best to explore new trends like lace, crochet, and distressed denim. I’m not usually one to partake in distressed denim; mainly because I can’t sport the trend at the workplace. But, I have to admit that I’m absolutely loving these relaxed Miss Me jeans with the blown out knees. By cuffing them, I’m able to wear the season’s hot leather ankle booties. Score!
For the top portion of the outfit, I decided to layer this gorgeous lace/crochet combination blouse over top of this sleeveless denim button down shirt with crochet back and floral detail. I had no idea Miss Me had so many cute tops! Yep, looks like Pinterest will have to move over lately to accommodate my new browsing obsession.
Crochet and lace are perfect for showcasing this spring’s famous bralettes and bright tops to layer underneath. With the perfect neutral, you can do just about anything–the possibilities are endless! Layer these lightweight pieces with drapey jewelry too, for the perfect laid-back and loungable look that’ll bring you from errands to weekend window shopping.
Welp, I definitely have “spring fever”–I’m dying about florals (of course), festival boho-inspired pieces, and cropped everything! What trends are you loving for spring?
With great fitting jeans that accentuate your “assets” plus breezy and cute tops like these, you can’t go wrong! What are your favorite pieces from the Miss Me line this spring? Check ’em out and sound off in the comments! 🙂 Have an awesome weekend everyone!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miss Me. All opinions are 100% mine.
The “Paris” theme in clothing seems to never lose it’s effect on me. I’ve seemed to find and collect literally ever piece I’ve come across with a special love for this Paris tank top. This Forever 21 beauty was a recent purchase from one of my favorite apps–Poshmark. If you’re not on this–you need to be!
These cutout booties from CAT Footwear are the perfect addition to masculine-ize a laid-back feminine outfit for summer. I love the hidden wedge and cutout style. In tan, these babies go with EVERYTHING and can be worn with shorts, palazzo pants, and even summer’s flippy skirts for a tough/feminine feel.
Sorry, I’ve been MIA lately; updates to the site have been ongoing and I look forward to sharing with you the new gallery feature! 🙂
Hope you all have had a great weekend!
