Outfit: Top & bag c/o Miss Me| DKNY leather pants| Franco Sarto Hawthorne Wedges via DSW| Necklace c/o Rocksbox| Michael Kors watch
Playing with a neutral color palette sounds like it could get boring, but when mixed with prints and metallics–can actually work pretty well. I’ve been wearing the crap out of these leather pants because they are warm and seem to go with everything.
I’m loving the pattern on this Miss Me top (paisley) and how it has understated aztec-boho accents but could still work for the office with a blazer. To work the black with pops of beige and metallics, I added cap toe wedges and different textures with a slight pop of color in the turquoise necklace.
It’s been really chilly lately, so layering and wearing these warm pants is a definite must! Last night, we went to see one of my old friends from college and watched the fireworks over Magic Kingdom. It’s often easy to forget and pass by such amazing sights when you are too close to them, but I was glad I got to do something that special and have dinner with a long-time friend!
Now, for a peek at what’s in my bag! I often switch between carrying way too many papers and things to a crazed clean-out where I get rid of everything. Good news is–this really cute and sparkly Miss Me tote carries everything I need with pockets to spare! So, here’s what’s in my bag now:
Gal’s Guide–I’m obsessed with this planner because, number one, it has an adorable cover; but also, it has a monthly, yearly, and daily calendar to put all my “stuff” on. What’s really neat is that it has dividers with tips like on a magazines article. For instance, this month’s was a list of everything you need to entertain at the holidays including recipes! It has a huge section at the back with extra lined paper for all of my obsessive list-making which is definitely a plus for me. I don’t go anywhere without this.
Michael Kors wallet pouch– this was a gift from my brother and his girlfriend for my birthday last year and I love how roomy it is. I use it as a wallet but since it’s a wristlet too, I take it when I go out and the bold color is a fun pop to any outfit.
iPhone 5C–naturally everyone carries a phone around and I love this one because it’s smaller than most models today and the coral color is so me!
iPad Mini–this thing is pretty much glued to my hip. I use it for everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. With it’s cute personalized aztec cover, I never need to revamp!
Makeup– my two must-haves for on the go would be my Make Up For Ever #32 lipstick. This is the perfect neutral/baby pink shade that works for everyday. I also have been really into the Kat Von D powder palette for on the go touch-ups. With my nasty nail-biting habit (I know, I know) I always need this nail filer/buffer with me.
So, exciting news! Dominique Cohen is now working with Miss Me for a new Limited Edition line full of her glam and polished taste! I’m loving the metallic and modern details that add a touch of interest and class to any basic outfit. Her luxurious taste radiates from each special piece and the jewelry is perfect for adding a touch of glam to literally any outfit.
See for yourself!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all are getting good, quality time in with friends and family while enjoying the year’s best meal. Nate and I have been up since 7:30 cooking and I’m loving all the delicious smells! But, it wouldn’t be me if I weren’t looking forward to/planning my attack on Black Friday.
Although it’s been a controversy to keep stores open on Thanksgiving night to bring in even more money, I believe there’s no harm in shopping online after all the visiting/eating is said and done. I do have an enormous amount of respect for stores who have decided to keep their doors shut on Thanksgiving. This day is for family, not waiting in line at Best Buy in the cold.
Below, I’ve provided a list of what I think to be some of the greatest deals around (some have already started as of yesterday) and most of then you don’t even have to leave your couch to cash in on!
Along with your coffee, comfy shoes, and Quest bars, don’t forget to bring your other must-have out with you to the sales tomorrow- Shopular (the mobile app that recognizes sales once you enter the store’s doors). From Gap to Kate Spade, I’ve already cashed in on all the goodness this app has to offer even before the madness that is tomorrow. Definitely check it out if you haven’t already. I’m obsessed!
Now, onto the list!
