Graphic tees have been going strong for awhile now, with no end in sight! This sleeveless Vicky’s version adds a sporty touch to the trend with it’s bright ombre color scheme.

I figured I’d switch it up today, because I feel as if I tend to gravitate toward the “work outfit” aspect of fashion a little too much–especially as of late. This time, I went with my good ‘ole denim tuxedo–Canadian style. I swear I sport these $8 jeans more than literally any other pair of jeans I own. Why? Probably because the have no creepy pocket lines that my thighs make pop out and they have a lot of give. I’m also a HUGE fan of the dark wash.

Mixing in turquoise extras was a no-brainer because I seem to have an unreasonable stash of them in my jewelry box. Nate lets me know constantly that I overuse this necklace, but whatever–a girl’s favorite is a girl’s favorite–what can I do?

Just bought these turquoise heels yesterday –or should I say traded– at Plato’s Closet. Call me a pre-teen but I can’t seem to let go of this thrifty second-hand teen queen mecca. Nowadays, I mainly just frequent the maxi dresses and heels. I sold a lot of clothes yesterday to earn some extra cash and was surprised when the only thing I left with was this incredibly (never worn, might I add) pair of turquoise heels. BOO YEAH– I’LL TAKE ‘EM!

I predict that for the next week I’m going to be looking for excuses to pair these babies with just about everything in my closet.

Happy Hump Day–we’re almost there, kids! 2 more days on the grind. Keep your head up 🙂

Finding a pastel blue leather skirt has been an ongoing quest of mine since the pastel trend hit hard a few years ago. Finding such a skirt is especially difficult when you’re on a budget. That’s why I was psyched when I spotted this one at Marshalls last weekend for under $25. I honestly couldn’t believe it. It’s one of those tunnel vision moments when you find exactly what you want at exactly the right price in EXACTLY the right size. Ahhhh! [angels singing from heaven]

To create a fresh, new look with this piece–I opted to add some different colored pastels. In this take on color blocking, the feminine hues pair nicely together like an abstract painting. Seeing as how finding pieces in each of these shades for a decent price is so tough, this is an easy way to don the colors without adding too many more pieces. To anchor the look, I added the pearl bubble necklace to act as a neutral.

Hope your week is off to a good start!

Every day is an adventure with my fiance, I swear. This entire weekend, he’s been sick and he offers to take blog photos because he knows we haven’t in a few days–he’s incredible. So, we decided to reminisce about our engagement story exactly three weeks later, by taking photos at the very spot he proposed (Disney’s Boardwalk).

Well, too bad so sad, because the second we pulled up the attendant informed us that unless we had dinner reservations, they were unable to accommodate us in the parking lot due to overcrowding. Wah wah wah… We then decided to visit Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort to explore. We ended up finding beautiful backdrops that screamed “beach” and the air was dripping with hypnotic hints of saltwater.

These ombre crochet shorts are stealing the show in popularity  this season. It seems as though the ombre trend has crossed the bridge from hair to fashion. I love how simple the color is and how it can literally transform a basic look. I decided to pair mine with an anchor-printed chambray top and pops of coral accessories.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!
