We’ve been having a cold snap here in Florida lately, but compared to DC–I guess we’re getting off pretty easily. To be honest, I secretly like it when the temperatures drop–at least for a little while–it means that I get to bust out all the layers and do a bit of print mixing (which we all know is my favorite thing in the world).

This weekend, Nate and I ran some errands and I cozied up in a striped turtleneck with a nordic wrap cardigan on top for warmth. I paired it with these black suede boots I found in my closet up north when I went to visit last week. Gotta love buried treasure! I can’t believe I forgot I had these! Paired with black skinny jeans, the boots elongate the appearance of the leg to give a streamlined look.

It’s not very often that I get a chance to wear a winter hat, so I was beyond psyched to sport this new one from Zara, too. With a coordinating satchel and a statement necklace for some sparkle, the look was easy to throw together, comfortable, and above all: warm!

Can’t wait until things start sorting themselves out and I have more time for blogging! Exciting news coming soon! 🙂 Can’t wait to share! Have a great rest of your week!

Things have been so crazy lately, I haven’t gotten the chance to blog! Hopefully things will calm down soon so I can get back on track because I really miss it.

Recently, I got this fur trimmed vest and I’m loving how well it works to layer with pretty much anything. It seems as though recently, my weekend uniform has pretty much been these blown out knee jeans by Joe’s Jeans and any type of ankle boot. You know it’s funny–I used to be incredibly obsessed with mixing tons of colors but nowadays it would seem that I find comfort in neutrals; especially black.

Happy almost Friday–here’s to getting through the week!

No one told me how tough “adulting” is! So much to do to get married and move on in life that I feel like I’ve been slacking a bit on the blog front!

But, I’m happy to be back. This past weekend, Nate and I spent time with Henna downtown at Lake Eola. From having brunch outside to visiting friends and watching football, I have to say that this weekend was the perfect mix of relaxation and productivity.

As the temperatures have been dropping, the need for layers has grown exponentially. Can’t say I’m hating it though–being from the north gives me an advantage as I have tons to pull from (still can’t remember why I brought so much down here with me!).

I’ve noticed, however, that I tend to wear the same boots and booties all of the time when the temps get a little chillier this time of year. That being said, I’ve been doing a little research to figure out which footwear is worth the investment and staying power. Any suggestions? What are you guys wearing lately?
