Everyday Makeup Tutorial: Copper Cat Eye

I’m so excited to share with you my very first makeup tutorial video! I’ve been wanting to do this for years now but never had the equipment capabilities.

This year, Nate and I made some goals for content we wanted to share and this was one on the top of my list!

This is one of those easy everyday shadow looks I wear for work with a simple cat eye. Since I wear the liquid liner cat eye look pretty much always, I thought it fitting to be the focus of my first tutorial video.

My advice if you’re looking to do a cat eye–invest in a good liquid liner. My favorite is Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner–it’s the best I’ve ever tried hands down. I have tried much more expensive and I always come back to this one. I feel as if it glides on smoothly and the color is intense without having to go over it again and again. I put mine on around 5:30am every weekday morning and it lasts flawlessly (without makeup setting spray) until about 6 or 7pm. The felt tip makes it easy to apply and very exact when attempting to achieve the wing.

Another must of mine would be Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara. It’s the best. Period. I flirt with others sometimes, but in the end it’s my one and only boo (Occasionally I’ll use Benefit’s They’re Real mascara when I’m looking for definition and not a lot of volume).

I usually am heavy on the Urban Decay Naked palettes, but lately my go-to has been this Stila palette. I became obsessed with Anastasia’s Maya Mia palette when it was given to me as a gift from a makeup artist friend of mine a couple of years ago, but then as most good things go, it was discontinued. Immediately, I was seeking a replacement for my favorite sepia and copper tones (I managed to grab a single of “Caramel“).

I am, however, really enjoying this new palette (well, I guess not that new from the video haha) because it has some tones like purple that I normally don’t wear but have tried recently and found that they work well with caramel tones on my hazel eyes.

Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Let me know if you like this idea of doing tutorials and what colors/looks/products you’d like to see! Thank you for your support!
