Two years ago I finally gave up my permanent hair extensions (microbead) for a number of reasons. When I moved to Florida, they just failed to bode well with the change in water down here and it seemed like I was always flying up home to get them fixed. Although I was a huge fan of the quality and most of all how voluminous and long it made my hair look, the cost wasn’t exactly economical for me at the time.
Recently, I’ve had to opportunity to partner with Irresistible Me hair extensions. With a wedding quickly approaching, I knew that longer hair was definitely in order.
In an effort to change my entire look about two years ago, I chopped my hair off to basically a “bob” and went back to my darker natural roots (no pun intended). Just like Nate had said I would, I definitely regretted it!
I’ve been experimenting with the Irresistible Me clip-in hair extension system for a few weeks now and I have to say honestly that it has far exceeded my original expectations. Prior to this system, I have tried 2 other clip in systems from different highly-advertised companies and was super dissapointed in the results. The worst part? You can’t return when you go with those companies. So here I was stuck with massive wefts of hair that didn’t work for me at all.
When I spoke with the Irresistible Me representatives for the first time, I was pretty convinced that no matter what color I chose, it wouldn’t work out in the end. I had the option of choosing between 100, 140, and 200g of hair (for thickness) and a myriad of colors blended to look extremely natural.
After having gone back and forth in my color choices (and sending countless photos!) my representative suggested I get Honey Blonde. I opted for the 18 inch length so the extensions would look realistic (you can choose from 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, or 24 inch). I figured just in the middle would be perfect for me.
The Silky Touch extensions are made of 100% Remy human hair and are blended perfectly. Honest to God, I really can’t tell the difference between my hair and these extensions when they are in. Perfect for photos as well as real life when I want to add a touch of glam to my look.
I am now a true believer and couldn’t be happier with the results. A few of my favorite parts: they are super easy to put in (I usually do 2 on the base of my neck, followed by the 4 weft from ear to ear, 3 on top of that, and most of the time 1-2 above the ear on either side), they blend PERFECTLY, and they are actually comfortable (which is not usually the case with extensions!).
If you’re on the fence about trying extensions, having had experience with several different kinds I would definitely recommend trying these, especially since they cost about 1/3 of the more permanent hair extensions & look just as awesome. I wear mine all the time and not just for blog photos. It took me a little bit to figure out how to put them in but after asking a friend & watching a few how to videos, it wasn’t so tough to do.
If you’re interested, right now they’re offering 20% off your first order with code GET20OFF at checkout. If you need to talk to a representative, they’re super helpful and will answer any questions you have. Plus they have videos with how the colors look in real life, so that helps.
Have you guys tried extensions? What are you thoughts?
