One of my summer favorites quickly became the romper. This lacy number worked well with simple add-ons like this denim jacket and snakeskin sandals.

November brought my birthday and a milestone for me in fashion purchases. I was able to invest in a real leather jacket from All Saints and it has quickly become a wardrobe staple.

December brought one of my favorite outfits of the year proving that staple pieces can be recycled in new & interesting ways! I took these camo pants from 4 years ago and combined them with a 5 year old metallic sweater to create a look that showcased several trends that have stood the test of time. I’m a huge believer in re-wearing pieces to get the most use out of them!

One of my favorite ongoing collabs this year was my partnership with Bloomingdale’s! I had a blast co-hosting events like “The Makeup Date” and the “Holiday Shoe Soiree”. I got to meet beautiful (inside & out) bloggers and numerous members of the fashionable Orlando community!

Nate and I started co-writing posts this year and this article was my very favorite. This is a topic very near & dear to our hearts and while sometimes it can be a little scary to “put yourself out there” I feel that we shared a little piece of ourselves with this one.

Nate and I purchased our first home this year so we felt compelled to write an article about how important it is to us to make guests feel welcome every time they come into our house.

There were definitely times this year where I felt very down on myself and I decided to get myself out of my rut by writing this article. I feel as if it was a turning point for me not only with my attitude but with my career and outlook on my business as well.

This December, Nate and I decided to make our first video. It’s something that we had a lot of fun doing and we very much look forward to creating more in the upcoming year!

Overall, this year was full of changes, new friendships, partnerships, and firsts that have made us who we are. I am so thankful for all of you who have been reading Pop of Style and can’t wait to see what the future holds in 2017!

Here’s wishing you all the best year yet!
