Like many, I share the same belief that the holidays are the best time of the year! From family visiting to all the excuses to indulge in delicious food, I couldn’t be happier that we are so close to Christmas! With that being said, Nate and I have had a blast decorating our new home for the first time!
For me, decorative pillows are a must! They’re the easiest (and cheapest!) way to drastically change the look of a room. I got our chevron gold pillows from TJ Maxx and recently purchased this “falalalala” gold stitched pillow from Home Goods! The chevron pillows are a daily staple for us so when I saw the “falalalala” pillow I knew I had to have it, because it was the perfect addition that would simultaneously change the couch to be holiday-ready!
The other couch pillows we chose were red with little reindeer to give the couch a pop of color against the grey tones. I love to mix up the textures, colors, and prints on pillows and pair them together just like with mixed prints in clothing. It works just as well with home decor!
The vase of potpourri was an inexpensive centerpiece I DIYed from pieces I put together at Hobby Lobby for under $10! There was enough to go around to set some as the centerpiece of our dining room table so it stretched pretty far! Best part is–it smells amazing!
As I’ve mentioned in an earlier post, I think it is so important to keep little things like a candy jar out and ready for guests as a cute little comfort. I was able to snatch up two Hershey’s peppermint kiss bags for buy one get one at Publix so I used them to fill up the rest of the jar with holiday colored goodies! P.S.–I got these little wooden stand alone signs at Home Goods for under $5 a piece!
I’m so excited to reveal our newly remodeled kitchen! Nate and I have been working on this project since October and it is finally finished! It feels so good for it to finally be done and see it come to fruition! More details on the before/after and how we did it for cheaper to come soon in an upcoming post!
Now, time for our first video!! I couldn’t be more excited–the start of the show–our Henna–had fun randomly popping up throughout the filming of our downstairs and we couldn’t stop laughing! Check out the full view of our living room, kitchen, bar area, and dining room below & let me know what you think!
