Although fall is my favorite time of the year, winter (especially around here) comes in second only because I love layering! Mixing prints has always been my favorite way to dress, and for today’s look, I wanted to pair a couple of pieces together that are pretty common these days to create a new look that’s super easy to throw on!
This poncho is one of those pieces that work in place of a sweater and/or a coat. In Florida, we never really need coats so something like this works well for me when it starts to get a bit chilly. The shorter sleeves and open front are breezy, but the thicker material does wonders for keeping me warm!
To play off the white in the windowpane pattern, I paired this poncho with some white jeans (totally fine to wear anytime throughout the year!) and added a pair of cognac OTK boots to create a rich color palette.
In the interest of adding a little “pop of color” these Kendra Scott earrings work wonders; I seriously wear them probably once a week!
Outfit: OTK boots c/o DSW | White jeans via Urban Outfitters | Poncho c/o Old Navy [similar here & here] | Buffalo check scarf via Amazon | Lace cami via TJ Maxx | Kendra Scott earrings
4 more work days my teacher friends! …and you know they’re going to be the longest 4 days of our lives… Nate and I are so busy this week and somewhere in there we have to fit in some Christmas shopping, although I honestly do like making a date out of it and grabbing dinner somewhere together–gets me in the holiday spirit!
Nate asked me for a wish list so I’ve been working on mine, but it’s funny how once you buy a house everything on your wish list switches from clothes to home projects (and in no way is that disappointing!).
Still trying to figure out some things to get Nate though. Any dude gift ideas would be greatly appreciated!
We’re currently working on our first video and I CAN’T WAIT to share it with you!! Hopefully, it’ll be ready by Thursday 🙂
Enjoy your week! We’re almost to Christmas!
