Somedays you just revert back to what’s always worked from the beginning. This is the exact outfit I wore to work today…no frills…just color mixing and staples!Red Gingham & Mustard Flats | Preppy Outfit | Teacher Outfit

The outfit planning started with my desire to wear red in support of teachers uniting to support the right pick for Secretary of Education. Being an educator myself, I felt it was important to band together with like minds in the pursuit of what is best for the generation we teach that will soon be the basis of our livelihood.

Red isn’t a color that I frequently wear, so I wanted to pair it with colors that I feel the most comfortable wearing. For me, that would be neutrals to anchor its brightness and mustard (a color I fell in love with years ago and can’t quite let go).

These earrings (a recent surprise in my latest RocksBox) are quickly becoming a favorite of mine for weekday wear. The marble gives the classic dangle earring a modern spin and the colors work well with virtually any hue.
