Easter is always a time of laughter, fun, and family at my house. This year, I was blessed enough to have my family with me to spend a fun-filled day. We started off the day chatting and having coffee by the pool (oh, God love Florida!) and then proceeded to cook a turkey (Thanksgiving style) for the “big meal”. The house smelled amazing as we relaxed and got ready for the day.
It was so awesome to spend some time with my parents and then aunt, uncle, and cousin later on in the day. There’s something calming about being surrounded by family–especially right after such a momumental moment in our lives. I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to have them around for all the support they’ve given me/us this past week.
Anyways, this dress/scarf/nude heel combo was my original “Easter outfit” but after temperatures hitting the 90s, this type of outfit seemed a litte inappropriate. I opted to change into my swimsuit (just in case we went back in the pool) and a tie-dyed off the shoulder sundress.
The original outfit hailed from H&M (well, at least the dress), while the scarf was a past Easter gift from my mom. I love the print, so wispy and spring-like! I’ve been really into these nude heels from Naturalizer lately. I often find it particularly tough to scope of a pair of heels that are easy to tread in while remaining comfortable on the sole.
These babies are made of super-soft nude leather and have sole cushions that give for extra support. The peep toe is a cute detail that I love, being down here in the heat and all.
TGIF! Loving that it’s Friday and how great it is to be able to finally relax. This week was especially rough due to the fact that I just had such a nice, long break. Nate and I have a fabulous wedding to look forward to this weekend in Fort Myers …I can’t wait! Hope you all have a lovely weekend, too!
