In a little belated celebration of the first day of spring, I thought I’d share some flowers on my jeans in the way of one of spring’s most prominent trends: embroidery. These jeans were a $30 purchase from Amazon, and I couldn’t believe how high quality they were.
At first, I was skeptical of the embroidery trend; it almost seemed as if it was reminiscent my high school days when ironing on smiley faces and peace signs were the quintessential sign of popularity, but it’s grown on me.
Modern versions of the trend, seem to incorporate more floral designs that work well with spring’s off the shoulder tops.
This particular top was a recent purchase from Walmart (yes, you read that right!) and I can’t get enough. I love the long tunic feel and the soft colors.
The two pieces work well together to create a light and casual spring vibe that is even more fun with espadrille wedges.
These wedges look an awful lot like the Chloe or Marc Fisher version that retail for a lot more. These were about $60–and with my DSW rewards? A lot less. Can’t beat that! I feel like I’ll be wearing them all summer!
Have you gotten into the embroidery trend lately? Any special finds at decent prices?
