If you’ve never been to Fisher Island before (in Miami), you’re missing out! We went to visit friends a few weeks ago and had a blast. I admit taking the ferry across to the island was a bit bougie, but an experience all on its own. The views were breathtaking!
When we first got there, we headed down to the pool area which overlooked the ocean and felt like paradise. It looks like something out of a postcard.
The perfect palm trees provided a picturesque background that was too good to resist. It made sitting on a lounge chair look eons better!
The best part of it all was that there was a private beach literally right next to the pool area. Who needs South Beach when you have this? Cabana and all–it was sheer perfection.
This romper (for only $15) was the perfect outfit for Miami’s heat. The light fabric is extremely breathable and I’m a huge fan of the little crochet trimming. It’s like accessorizing without trying. What could be better?
Nate and I randomly found this fallen coconut on the beach so naturally we had to take photos with it. Didn’t want to get my wedges wet, but maybe that was just the perfect excuse to dip my toes into the sand. And Lord, did it feel amazing!
We even ran into this little sea turtle nest, it was so unreal! We didn’t actually get to see any but I loved just seeing where they would be and knowing that on this private beach they’d be safe.
Nate got the best early sunrise photos of these rocks:
He is outrageously talented and I couldn’t be more proud. Landscape photography has quickly become a passion of his. He’s got a natural knack for it!
Outfit: Romper via JC Penney [similar here] | Jeffrey Campbell wedges | Michael Kors clutch (selling–let me know if you’re interested) [similar here]| Necklace (I made myself) [similar here] | Prada sunnies
I can’t wait to go back! Next week, Nate and I are planning to go to Wynwood for the day just to hang out–Miami’s my favorite! Needing some cool lunch spot suggestions…please let me know in the comments if there are any places you love that we should hit! 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend!
