This week, I’m partnering up with Elle from Living in Color Style and  Jacqueline from Stylin’ In St. Louis to bring to you a fun link up where we share our Fourth of July outfits while inviting you to share yours!

As for my get up, I’ve taken to high waisted skirts as of late–mainly because they highlight my waist while slimming my hips. Any high waisted shorts, skirts, pants, etc. tend to help balance out pear shapes while highlighting attributes like a smaller waist.

It’s difficult to find a Fourth of July outfit including red, white, and blue that isn’t screaming “cheesy $3 tee at the Walmart checkout” but the key here is to keep it simple. Remember K.I.S.S? There’s definitely truth in the theory–color blocking is one way to keep it simple while ridding an outfit of cheesiness. Neutral shoes and extras like this pearl chunky necklace add to the outfit without competing with the colors.

Now, feel free to link up and make some new blogger friends! Share what you will be wearing for the most patriotic day of the year!

LINK-UP GUIDELINES:

Such a perfect look! I love that it is all made up of pieces that can be remixed other ways throughout the year, that’s my kind of holiday look!
