It’s amazing how different a sweater can do with just a little bit of fall layering! My favorite button down print–gingham–is back in black!
I’m loving the fun and bold print as it stands out from an otherwise simple sweater. The pops of red make this particular sweater fun to play with. I thought adding just a touch of matte red lipstick and red flats would provide this outfit with an unexpected, yet simple addition of color to wake it up.
Sticking with jeans keeps this look weekend-wearable yet sophisticated and fun. Bundling up for crisper weather in the fall is of the utmost importance (even though I now live in good ‘ole Florida!) so it’s always a fun challenge to find new ways of layering simple pieces like this graphic sweater.
I can’t wait to wear this underneath my leather moto jacket, tucked into a bold red skirt, and over leather leggings with a chambray shirt over top. So many possibilities I just want to go lay them out and try them on right now. Oh, the life of a blogger. These are the weird things that make us gals tick.
Although I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, I’m really now loving the graphic print sweaters because of how well they contrast and mix with the more sophisticated pieces of fall like structured totes, button downs, and feminine flats. It never hurts to add a classic color mix (black, white, and red) to really get my mind rollin’ on new and awesome add-ons to make this baby really pop!
…and today’s thought:
Remember this…it directly relates to another awesome quote I heard once “Don’t compare your chapter 3 to someone else’s chapter 20.” These are awesome and inspirational words to live by and I think we all need to take heed so we can live calmer and more rewarding lives! Have an awesome week everyone
