Cobalt blue is one of my favorite hues no matter what time of year. I love the richness of the color and how well it plays with brights like yellow and pink. This watercolor dress as I like to call it, was a recent purchase from Forever 21 for $14! I bought it for Nate and my Floridian vacation! I seriously can’t wait to go on vacation it is much needed after this semester!
Side note–it’s so hard to believe that I am finally done with school (well for a bit at least). At 27, you’d think that I would’ve been done a long time ago, but I guess I just love learning. Well that’s my story at least and I’m stickin’ to it! No, I’m just finishing my M.Ed and can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life that doesn’t involve homework!
This Saturday, Nate and I both graduate and we’ll be celebrating my taking family to one of my favorite Italian restaurants a little ways away from here. Last time I went I got the best seafood pasta I’ve ever had in my life and I’m definitely looking for a repeat! It’s one of those rare places where the service is just as amazing as the food. Absolute perfection I tell you.
And, back the the outfit. I’m always trying to concoct new ways to mix prints because let’s just say it–I get bored easily. To challenge myself, I wanted to mix something casual with something a bit more formal like this gingham button down. I’m thinkin’ that button downs could easily substitute for a denim jacket or cardigan as a topper over a dress. Why not? They’re lightweight, simplistic, and the print gives the dress a nice, rich contrast. I decided to top this look off with some mint wedges and a new sparkler (you know me and my undying love for statement necklaces!). Hope you enjoy!
