Mint and Gold + Trip to North Carolina

This past weekend my mom, aunt, and I visited North Carolina to relax and have some fun! We had such a blast eating at delicious restaurants, shopping, exploring the city, and most of all–enjoying the weather! We visited Greensboro and hit Winston-Salem on the way home. I never wanted to leave! Now that I’m back in the dreary 40 degree weather of the north, I’m really craving the 80 degree weather we left yesterday!

I apologize for not posting since I left, but good news! I’m announcing the 5 winners of the Marshalls giveaway today! See below for the winners 🙂

The day before we left, we were told to eat at Natty Greene’s and we were not dissapointed!  I absolutely loved eating the “designer” sandwiches and experiencing some good ‘ole Southern hospitality! Everyone is so nice here, I just couldn’t believe it!

We stopped at Cheesecake by Alex and had some scrumptious cheesecake of all different flavors! My aunt and I are here enjoying some Bananas Foster cheesecake!

You could eat off the streets they were so clean! Everywhere we went, people were waving and happy. So nice to see cheerful people who are just enjoying a day in the sun.

On Sunday, we spent some time with my friend Leah, her fiancee Buster and their adorable puppy Scooby! I couldn’t believe how huge this dog is! We had such a blast hanging out with them in their beautiful house.

We met some pretty fun and helpful people while we were in Greensboro. Here is J.C.- our waiter who helped us with any possible question we had about the area and even a possible trip to Mexico! I was joking with him about taking a “prom pic”. I KNOW the table behind us was making fun of us, but oh well! We couldn’t stop laughing!

From Blue Velvet to Apple Cinnamon Crisp- these homemade cheesecakes were TO DIE FOR! I had the pleasure of going here earlier in the day (yeah, cheesecake twice in one day–don’t judge 🙂 with some new friends who showed me the area and I just had to take my aunt and mom here later in the day.

One of THE BEST little vintage second hand shops I’ve ever been to! I could buy ever single pair of sunglasses I tried on in here!

I would go back here tomorrow if I could. Greensboro, I’m in LOVE! Such an amazing place with a big city appearance and a hometown feel. From friendly people to delicious treats and even better weather, this place is absolutely perfect. ‘Til next time, Greensboro!

Now [drum roll, please]…
