Leather and Sparkle

This post is brought to you by Miss Me, however opinions are my own.

This fall, leather is partnering up with some unexpected materials to create an interesting and cozy vibe. Miss Me‘s faux leather jacket is a great example of how to add a modern twist to the classic leather jacket.  By adding a touch of shimmer, this jacket is functional and fashionable at the same time.

In true blogger fashion, I broke the most cardinal rule of fall–don’t wear white after Labor Day! I’ve known for awhile that this rule was meant to be broken but finding fall outfits that layer well with white can be challenging. Thankfully, a leather jacket works well with pretty much anything as does a graphic tee.

Naturally, I couldn’t resist adding yet another graphic tee to my ever-growing collection and so here is the “Don’t ever let anyone dull your sparkle tee”. I’m loving the message because it speaks to young woman on a fun and relatable level. I was reading the most inspiring quote the other day that talked about how women should stop comparing themselves and love their quirks, personalities, and bodies instead of constantly slamming them. How much better off would we all be if we listened for once? If we could learn to embrace our flaws, break past rules, and give ourselves a break for once we may actually be happy.

Lately, I’ve been doing my best to improve my health and feed my body what it needs to feel better.  I’ve been so stressed lately and have been doing nothing but downing the Diet Coke while neglecting to eat healthy foods and stay active. Over the past week, however, I’ve vowed to change and have made an effort to buddy up with a friend from work to get some exercise, have kicked the nasty soda habit, and have made a conscious effort to clean up my diet. It has to start somewhere! I honestly feel better about myself when I take time to treat my body right.
