Cable knit sweater/windowpane plaid top/pea coat c/o Old Navy
I read somewhere a few months ago that one of the easiest ways to dress up your look to appear timeless and expensive-looking would be to don all neutrals. Since hearing this lovely piece of advice, I have proudly worked on acquiring more and more pieces in these versatile hues.
When it comes to outfits around the holidays, shades of camel will never go out of style. Playing the perfect backdrop for pops of prints and statement jewelry; shades of camel or caramel work seamlessly with both casual and dressed up looks.
The search for the perfect sweater can be a challenge when looking for not only a great fit, but great quality that won’t pill or wear down after a few washes. This cable knit beauty has surpassed all my tests, providing the optimal mix of comfort, warmth, and style. I paired mine with a windowpane-printed sleeveless top that added dimension to the neutral shades without adding bulk.
It just wouldn’t be a holiday outfit without adding a classic coat and festive piece of jewelry–this camel-colored pea coat was a steal for how warm and high quality it is. I’ve been needing a coat (the sweater I bought for my trip up north over Thanksgiving just isn’t doing the trick during this cold snap), so I was overjoyed to find this one at such a great price point.
The neutral monochromatic trend is such a classic that it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, plus it looks oh-so-good with this season’s jewel tones like navy, emerald, and oxblood as well as trendy prints like windowpane. Best part is–pieces like the top and cable knit sweater work well when working some light layering in for early spring by pairing them with pops of pastel.
Hope you all had a relaxing weekend & are getting all you need done in time for the holiday!
