Spring flowers? Maybe not yet, but they’re comin’! Trying something new like wearing shorts in the winter can sound odd and scary at times, but I’m here to tell you that it’s totally doable, and even easier to pull off. You can get a lot of extra mileage out of your summer wear if you simply layer, layer, layer in the winter to achieve a polished and posh look.
In the summer, I was loving these high-waisted tie-front shorts, and to pull them off in the winter, all I did was add a pair of opaque tights in the same hue to blend, keep my warm, and elongate my legs. Since this top is usually short, I don’t wear it much- but when I’m donning a pair of high-waisted shorts it gets a bit easier to wear this floral piece.
To put the look to rest, I added this gorgeous INPINK orange bubble necklace to pull some of the color from the blouse! This company has so many beautiful and unique jewelry options, and I am thrilled to be working with them! Just because they’re so peachy- they wanted to offer my readers a special discount–POPSTYLE30, good for 30% off of all jewelry (excludes nail polish and gift cards). It is valid now through 4/30/2013.
