Today was the perfect Sunday! Nate and I started the day out sleeping in then making some amazing homemade fresh breakfast smoothies! We decided to spend the day in Celebration, a cute and quaint little town just ten minutes up the highway from our house.

It was 85 degrees and sunny today–what a way to spend a “winter” afternoon in Florida! I’m so thankful to live here, it’s always gorgeous and there’s never a lack of fun things to do. We spend the afternoon wandering around the little town, watching the kids play in the jumping fountains, buying Henna a delicious bone a a cute little doggie boutique, and having an amazing lunch at Celebration Town Tavern.  So delicious and I’m loving that we could sit outside and watch the lake and all the people! We met this really nice man who saw us shooting and talked to us/showed us his model shoots from NYC and Boston. Incredible. So fun to meet new people down here–it seems like everyone’s friendly and in a good mood.

It’s so odd to spend my birthday month in such hot and beautiful weather. I just had to title this post “winter in Florida” because I guess that’s what it is! It’s wild to see all of the Christmas decorations and “fake snow” all over the roofs of buildings around here.

So, I did my best “winter look” by layering some new favorites and still trying to make it appropriate for the afternoon heat around here. I just bought this plaid scarf from Old Navy yesterday and I’m obsessed! It’s so soft and the colors are incredibly vivid. To mix some prints, I paired it with this uber-comfy striped maxi dress and pops of red (lips and flats).

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! And always remember to take some time to…
