This alphabet tee was a must-have for me being an English teacher. Maybe I’m a nerd, but I’m loving all of the different characters and the cool font that they’re in!
I wanted to add a fun vibe by sporting this polka dot blazer. I find that I get a lot of use out of this thing–[here is one of my favorite ways I've worn it with a graphic tee] It adds a touch of personality with the print while maintaining a look of sophistication with the tailored cut of the blazer itself.
The nerdy glasses seem to fit seamlessly with the idea of the alphabet tee and to offset the look, I donned some denim cutoffs and my most comfy pair of leopard flats from Corso Como. This new H&M necklace is a recent find/favorite I’ve been wearing.
I’m thrilled to be collaborating with W Concept again for their recent Paul Richard artist collaboration! What immediately caught my eye were the interesting and intricate details that Paul puts into his artwork. A little bit about the project:
W Concept X Paul Richard Collaboration
A drip painting by definition is a form of abstract art in which the paint is dripped or poured onto canvas to create dots and lines which then forms into a figure. What’s fascinating about Paul Richard’s drip painting is that he uses the same technique but employees it in a way that the painting is completed in one stroke of a single drip.
Who is Paul Richard? Paul Richard’s drip paintings are frequently seen on the sidewalks of Lower Manhattan and different parts of Brooklyn, and are surely percieved as being vandalistic by some, radical artistic expression by others. Yet for an artist who is oftentimes arrested for public vandalism, Paul Richard comes from surprisingly mainstream means. A Harvard graduate with a Bachelors in social science, he is a loving father to a daughter, a dog lover, and now well into his 40s, his trademark outfit is a suit. A painter whose skills are entirely self-taught, Paul Richard works in his Brooklyn studio and resides in Manhattan with his family.
I’m really impressed with W Concept moving forward and collaborating with fashion-forward and progressive artists while supporting their talent. Kudos.
