Outfit: Sam Edelman Gemma sandals | Dress via American Threads | Similar tassel necklace
Long time, no blog! The past few months have been a blur of family, friends, planning, our wedding, and an incredible Las Vegas honeymoon! I’m pooped, so it’s been nice to kind of chill for awhile.
I’m finally getting around to editing all the photos we took on the honeymoon and am excited to start shring them!
This dress, from American Threads in Disney Springs, is one of my new favorites which is funny because when I saw it on the mannequin, I really wasn’t interested. That is until a friend of mine–Shannon from UpbeatSoles.com and I went shopping at Disney Springs and she urged me to try it on. I was instantly in love! She has the same maxi dress and it looks fantastic on her. I was thinking that since I’m pretty curvy, it wouldn’t look good on me, but I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout.
The dress dips in the back and has a gorgeous ruffle detailing on the bottom–just some of the special touches that make this bohemian beauty awesome.
To go with its “born free” vibes, I thought Red Rock Canyon would be the perfect setting to use when we took some photos.
We visited this place, which is right outside Las Vegas about 30 minutes, one morning during the honeymoon and spent the morning climbing the rigid rocks and admiring their beauty on a 13 mile scenic drive. Places like these make you want to state at them long enough to commit them to memory because you never know when you’re going to get to see that kind of beauty again in your lifetime. It truly was breathtaking.
Have any of you been to Red Rock Canyon before? We went as a recommendation from my mom; a friend of hers absolutely loves this place and I can easily see why!
