#SBRealWoman Photo Shoot | Solutions Bridal | Orlando, FL from Dustin Seltzer(Seltzer Films)
About a month ago I had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented people in the Orlando area [and arguably the world!] to put together a bridal photo shoot themed “Real Woman”.
This topic hits home to be because so many times when you’re working in this industry in any capacity you’ll experience the inevitable pull toward being what everyone else is/expects you to be which is not necessarily yourself. This campaign/shoot challenged that theory by bringing together a number of women from different backgrounds with very different body types to model bridal gowns.
I have to say that this was single-handedly one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever gotten to take part in mainly because of the support and encouragement I could feel around me coming from all directions. Every person involved from our wonderful DJ Kristin Hubbard to our stylist and event planner Roberta Noronha was there offering kind words and a helping hand to make us all feel our absolute best.
Meeting so many bloggers and stylists in Orlando was a fascinating experience for me; someone who has recently moved here from the north. Networking, giggling, and nibbling together was so much fun it felt like one of those sleepovers you have when you are 12 and all you want to do is share secrets and gab about boys. Sometimes you just need some girl time and bonus points if that girl time includes fabulous ladies who share the same interests as you do.
Being a Solutions Bridal “Real Woman” for a day definitely opened my eyes to a new-found appreciation for my own body. I have always struggled with my shape, however being around so many positive, encouraging, and creative individuals allowed me to feel more confident and alive than I ever have. My gown, the Ines Di Santo “Femme” made me feel just that. The style of the gown accentuates curves while nipping and tucking in all the right areas. With a silhouette like this dress has, there is no need for an accessory overload.
Each dress looked as if it was tailor-made for each body and it was amazing to see each woman come alive in front of the camera. All were beautiful, donning everything from hair accessories to killer heels, each with a unique and personal twist. With bouncing beats in the background, delicious snacks, and fabulous stylists and makeup/hair artists the whole experience seemed like something out of a movie. I am more than grateful to have taken part in this inspirational celebration of what makes us each, as women, unique and beautiful.
