Striped Turtleneck & Leather Jacket

This striped turtleneck was an ironic buy for me because (my mom knows) that I always used to poke fun at her “turtleneck farm” that seemed to be growing in her walk-in closet from years past. Hilarious how things change!

This fall/winter I’m loving the look of a stylish and sophisticated turtleneck, especially how it looks paired with tougher, unlikely pieces like this leather jacket. I feel as if  pairing  it with modern pieces helps to do away with the “stuffiness” of a sweater like this.

I wanted to put a pop of color in the mix with this black and white combo. Cobalt blue is my favorite of all blues. The electric feel brightens up any outfit regardless of the season!

So how do you guys feel about turtlenecks this season? You in? I feel like I’m wanting more now. I was most recently inspired by this look  by JCrew. The layering between this season’s tartan/plaid blazer and the button down is so preppy and chic I can’t stand it! I have to try this look ASAP!

I love a turtleneck for the fall/winter especially when it is cold outside because it keeps you that much warmer! I’m giggly over the stripes and I’m heading out today to purchase a leather jacket 🙂
