How do you style denim platform sandals? They seem like the type of shoe that would be difficult to pair with casual basics, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! In this case, denim acts as a neutral and works well to add not only color but texture to an outfit (not to mention a bit of height!).
These Marc Fisher beauties are surprisingly comfortable and oh so cute. At first, I was skeptical, but taking risks paid off! Their texture lended itself perfectly to be paired with spring’s floral prints and provides a nice complement for a bright, fun color like red.

These are the “risky” shoes that I have found myself getting creative with when wearing them with several different types of outfits! I’ve worn them with everything from springy dresses to jeans.
Because they’re so comfy, I would have no problem wearing them for a day of shopping! The platform provides a nice buffer to alleviate foot pain. This is the type of heel that is both functional and sexy. So happy I gave them a try!
Read on for details about the affordable finds that I paired them with!
Just as promised, I’m back with some budget fashion deals from some of the most well-known stores around! Walmart was first on my list because this, to me, would be a challenge. However, I came to find that I was pleasantly mistaken!
Walmart may not be the first place to come to mind when you think to yourself “I need new clothes” however it is a mecca of great deals and surprisingly fashionable finds lately.
Mom and I visited a couple of weeks ago in an attempt to find an outfit that was [almost] entirely from Walmart and in line with what I would typically wear.
Before we both knew it, the cart was STUFFED with pieces from leggings to chokers. I was so surprised that I kept saying to her “why didn’t we come here sooner?”
One of the first pieces I spotted was this embroidered eyelet tee! It came in peach, mint, black, white, and this navy color. I wanted to scoop them all, but unfortunately the white only had one size left and it wasn’t mine and I thought that I’d better pick one and pace myself.
At $11–I knew this tee would be super versatile for spring and completely on trend. I love that it isn’t see through and is not only comfy, but breathable too!
Next up, I found these amazing floral jeggings! I’m loving the vibrant colors and how the blue base will go with so much in my closet. They aren’t super long (which is awesome) and are high enough so that you don’t have any “butt crack” problems.
They’re so thick in fact that I wouldn’t even consider them leggings. You can’t see through them, yet the material is super soft with stretch–bonus!
Best part? Drum roll please…they’re only $12! WHAT?! They only had this one print at my Walmart store, but I looked online and there are about 8 more prints for the same price. A friend of mine at work went and bought the all red ones and they’re adorable!
Obviously, I needed jewelry next so I ransacked that department and found walls upon walls of more than reasonably priced chokers, earrings, and statement necklaces. Just to give you a summary–I got 4 pieces for under $15. These silver pendant earrings were only $2 and I’ve been wearing them nonstop!
