Spring time means it’s baseball season! Baseball caps are the perfect accessory for the sporty (or un-sporty even!) girl to add to any casual outfit. I’ve always been a fan of the baseball cap for the sheer reason that if your hair is out of control, you can hide it so easily while looking put together at the same time!
Baseball caps go back to my softball-playing days in high school and early college, I used to wear them with anything and everything. Nowadays, I like to have a few to choose from in different neutral types of colors that can be worn with whatever. I personally have them in white, red, navy, black, and light blue.
With colors like these, I sport them with anything from a romper or dress to jeans and a simple tee. I absolutely love the look of a classic casual pretty outfit where I can be relaxed, yet put together at the same time. The baseball cap helps to balance out the girly lace for a more tomboyish look. As you can see here, here, and here–I’m a fan of the baseball cap!
This summer, gladiator sandals are all the rage and I can’t say I’m disappointed! It’s about time a comfortable shoe made the it-list for summer! The snakeskin gladiators I’m wearing here are Sam Edelmans from Boston Proper, and I’ve been wearing them everywhere from Disney to dinner out! The neutral snakeskin works with literally every color, so they are extremely versatile in your wardrobe.
It’s hard to have a preppy look feeling complete without a little Kendra Scott, am I right? My Elle earrings came this month in my new Rocksbox, so forgive me if you seem them 18,000 times on the blog! haha! Get yourself a month free on Rocksbox using this code at sign up: MELISSABFF615
