Winter print mixing is one of the most fun parts of dressing for this snowy weather here in the north! I love mixing my prints and this crazy/beautiful sweater was the perfect addition to my winter wardrobe.
I just recently purchased these polka dotted jeans from Old Navy last week for a mere $7! I couldn’t believe it. I’ve been on the prowl for jeans like these for months now. I guess good things do come to those who wait!
Upon trying to figure out how to layer for this 3-feet of snow weather we’re currently having, I knew a turtleneck would be in order. It’s practically mandatory now- good thing they’re in style! A solid-colored navy blue turtleneck was just the ticket to anchor the combination of prints going on in this get-up.
Adding my favorite ankle boots was just the icing on the cake to tie the boho vibe of this outfit together with the classic pairing of the polka dots and turtleneck.
I can’t wait to wear this sweater with cutoff jean shorts and a simple tee once spring starts to break! The good news about this weather is that winter print mixing is fun and very easy when it comes to the amount of layering needed around here to stay warm! My formula is simply 2 separate pieces with a simple anchoring color (like navy) + 1 piece in the solid anchoring color + one piece of simple jewelry (like the monogram necklace) + neutral footwear = complete!
How do you guys like to layer on your winter print mixing? Do you tend to print mix in the winter, or just in the fall and spring? I’ve found that I tend to mix prints the most in the fall and stay mostly simple in the winter, but here’s to new style resolutions and trying to think outside of the box!
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend filled with fun activities and time to relax!
