Outfit: Blazer via The Limited | Bonfire Blanket scarf c/o Aerie | Penny loafers c/o Johnston & Murphy | Buffalo check shirt via Old Navy [similar here] | Brixton Dalila hat | Jeans c/o Target

This year, the blanket scarf has risen in popularity and therefore spawned several close relatives to the popular Zara version last year . This year, I’m lovin’ up on several different colored version such as this incredibly soft burgundy & pink version from Aerie.

You all know I’m a huge lover of the “mixed print”, so naturally I had to go with some version of it here. Layering is probably my favorite aspect of fashion–blame it on my northern roots–I just can’t get enough. There’s just something about cozying up to the fire around this time of year in comfy separates that I yearn for. I just wish I could experience it up north during the first snowfall.

These penny loafers are such a classy addition to the ensemble, with their preppy tones and rich hue. The oxblood color lends itself nicely to the burgundy and neutrals in the rest of the outfit. Being comfortable is priority one when walking a lot, especially at work–so these have quickly become a staple for me during the workweek.

Off to entertain dinner guests tonight! Have a great week, all 🙂

Oh and by the way, I’ve agreed to let Nate dress me all of next week without any flap from me [which is an amazing feat; I must say]. So, stay tuned! Can’t wait to share our experience!

Love this outfit, very cozy, love the scarf. Admittedly I’m not typically a fan of the penny loafer, but this outfit really brings them in for a very nice look.
