PRINTS CHARMING

Prom season is almost upon us! As girls get ready, anxiously awaiting this infamous day in May, it’s no surprise that many will be checking the scene for hot prom dress trends. Prints have been all over the runway for spring and while florals still dominate the scene, newer prints like chevron and abstracts are making their way as well. From ASOS to David’s Bridal, prom dresses are abundant in brilliant colors and stylish prints. I’m especially loving the back of this abstract floral printed dress! (above right)

SPARKLE & SHINE

A huge trend in 2012, sparkle and shine is not going anywhere in 2013. Spring 2013 dress trends are here and more beautiful than ever. The glitz and glam that wowed everyone last year is showing up in new ways this season. I’m loving the sheath and one shoulder styles this year! The prettiest styles are arriving this spring in champagne and pastel shades!

PASTEL PERFECT

I might be most excited for the new “White” line by Vera Wang in David’s Bridal, which will debut this upcoming spring. Her girly silhouettes and delicate colors make any spring dress one that will turn heads. Chartreuse is popping up everywhere as well this spring, the reason may be that Pantone has declared “emerald” the color of year!

ALL OF THE BRIGHTS

What better way to make a statement than to don a super bright color on the night of your big event. I’ve always been a big fan of reds & pinks (my prom dress was hot pink-imagine that!) but this fluorescent green caught my eye. I’m loving the update on the bright trend, with sequin and crystal embellishments in the bustier portion of the dress. The sweetheart necklines this season are to die for!
