Happy Halloween!

    • Thrifted maxi dress
    • Blouse from TJ Maxx
    • Boots from JC Penney
    • Earrings from Body Central
    • Scarf was borrowed from my aunt!
    • Lips: Revlon Really Red Matte lipstick
So today was my first day of field. For those of you who aren’t teachers, or have no idea what this means- it is the first day of the semester where I will officially be in the classroom for half the day, everyday until Christmas break. I’ve been trying to figure out stylish, yet conservative teaching outfits to wear over the next few months, and this is the first I’ve come up with.
I love finding new ways to wear scarves! This silk scarf was just calling my name and I thougth what a perfect way to add some spice to conservative black and khaki!
P.S.- Remember the lovely Courtney from I Can Be Many Things who was my blogger of the week here? She asked me to be her guest blogger today! How nice of her! So stop by and visit her blog today and everyday because her style is awesome! 🙂

Weekend Professional

    • Thrifted blazer
    • Skirt from Gap
    • Tights from Macy’s
    • Boots from JC Penney
    • Max Azria & Miley Cyrus shirt
    • Necklace from Icing
So this weekend has been all about preparing for the Girls’ World Expo next Sunday, and I couldn’t be more excited! Yesterday, I had the pleasure of pulling clothes, bags, and shoes from Macy’s and Sassy Peacock. I can’t wait to show you all the photos from the show next week!
Anyways, I mentioned the other day that it has been freezing lately and I’ve started to notice frost on my car and on the grass every morning now! Ugh. I’m not ready for this! On the bright side, I get to wear some fun blazers when I layer for this type of weather!
It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t have some sort of pop of color in (most) outfits, and today was no exception! We all know my undying love for things yellow/mustard, and this skirt and belt combo was just the perfect amount of color to brighten up the texture in the blazer.

Mustard, Gingham & Fringe

    • Gingham shirt from Old Navy
    • NY&Co cardigan
    • AE belt
    • PacSun jeans
    • Necklace from Sassy Peacock
    • Soda fringe boots
Mustard, red, and turquoise seem to me like they are made for each other. Something about this color combination seems so farmer/fall and I love it!
One of my favorite hairstyles lately involves this bandana tied in a vintage way! How simple and easy to just tie and go!
Today I’m pulling clothes for the Girls’ World Expo next weekend. I’m so excited! A huge thank you to Sassy Peacock and Macy’s for letting me raid their stores! I can’t wait for this show. It’s going to be but fun week, and I can’t wait to style my girls who are walking in the show.
Hope everyone is having a great fall weekend! (or should I say early winter with this snow?!)
