What To Wear To a Bridal Shower

Rebecca Minkoff handbag, Lauren Conrad dress, NY&Co blazer, Guess pumps, Watch (gift), Sunnies from Guess
So yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the bridal shower of one of my really good friends. We had an absolute blast! The food was amazing, the place was gorgeous, and most importantly she looked so incredibly happy. I am so happy for the two of them and it was really exciting getting to spend the day with her.
This is what I wore to the shower. During these weird spring days, it’s kind of a challenge to figure out what to wear! Luckily, it was one of the sunnier days this week so I could get away with a light spring dress. I bought this dress a few months ago and have been waiting to wear it on a gorgeous spring day. I’m loving the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl’s! So many elegantly classic, but casual pieces in such feminine hues!
Because it was a little colder in the afternoon, I decided to throw on a tailored white blazer. I’m not one for coats, and this was an easy way to add a touch of classic style to a floral dress. I completed the outfit with nude pumps to let the print really shine. What is your go-to outfit for a bridal shower?

5 Pieces I’m Loving This Week

5 Pieces I'm Loving this week-neon and neutral

D G yellow top, $220
Warehouse reversible skirt, $80
Zara shoes, $90
Rebecca Minkoff evening bag, $595
Oasis jewelry, $50

How classy is neon and neutral? This electrifying combo is all the rage right now and there are a few cute ways to keep it chic and ladylike by adding just the right amount of punch.

First, peplum details add some interest to an otherwise typical khaki pencil skirt, while this classically-printed tank can be tucked in to create a waist.

Add a fun pair of open-toed sandals like these from Zara, and a neon and neutral colorblocked handbag like this one from Rebecca Minkoff (my obsession of the moment!) and you’re all set!

I’m also absolutely loving wrap watches right now. Such an easy way to add color and hardware while adding to an already fun arm party!

How To Wear a Red Blazer

I am absolutely obsessed with red blazers right now! Colored blazers came onto the fashion scene last year and ever since then they’ve been spotted everywhere from celebs to street style.
What makes the red blazer so wearable is its versatility. This chic primary color can be worn with neutrals, brights, or prints while making a bold statement.
Throw one on over a tee shirt for an instant dose of chicness or dress up a pair of white jeans. Sport one with mixed prints or fun bright shorts for summer. Whatever you choose, this staple will go a long way in your wardrobe! Just check out all the different ways to wear a red blazer!
How would you incorporate one into your wardrobe?
