Your Guide to Spring's Best Lipsticks--Pop of Style

I’m back with one of my favorite posts this season! Spring is on its way and we’re already starting to reap some of its benefits here in Florida. Can’t say I can complain!

While I’m dreaming of shorts and cute new sandals, I’ve been starting to stock up on my spring makeup favorites to prep myself for lighter & brighter looks!

Here are some of my favorites on deck now:

Make up For Ever #32

This one has been one of my favorite pink/neutrals for years! It’s a go-to for everyday looks.

Bobbi Brown “Sandwash Pink”

This is a newer favorite of mine, first introduced to me at a Sephora opening in Disney Springs just this past fall. I love that it’s a subtle neutral with just a hint of pink.

Kat Von D “Lovecraft”

Lovecraft is a nice option for a neutral with natural true lip tones in it without opting for the pink hues.

Make up For Ever N9 “Copper Pink”

I like to think of Copper Pink as a toned down orange/neutral. It’s a velvety/silky version of the Lolita II liquid lipstick, so it’s more moisturizing.

Katy Kat Matte “Catoure Tricot”

I tried this as a promo item and kinda liked it! I will say it’s not that “matte” but the coppery red/pink hue is perfect for more of a subtle type of statement lip at work.

NYX “Summer Breeze”

Oh, how I love this lipstick. This has been in my makeup bag for probably 6 years now. I started wearing it in the summer and have now integrated it into my makeup routine for every season. The bright blue-toned pink makes teeth seem whiter and looks perfect even with minimal other makeup. Many times, I wear this color with a simple cat eye liquid liner (no shadow).

Anastasia “Party Pink”

This is one of those shades I wear for nighttime events in the spring and summer. It’s pretty electric and definitely makes a statement. What I love about it is the liquid lipstick formula stays really well and the color works well with neutral shadows to create an effortless statement look.

Bare Minerals Moxie “Get Ready”

This is a nice red/neutral shade that I wear to work when I have an otherwise neutral outfit to bring some color to my face. I love the way this one feels!

Lancome L’absolu Rouge Definition “Le Magenta”

This is such a silky formula; it feels great! I love the purple/pink hue and how it’s almost fluorescent.

Pop Beauty “Razzle Rose”

This is one I have on repeat since I started sporting it in the fall as an alternative to the season’s darker brown-hued lipsticks. This liquid lipstick formula stays like a pro and it’s under $15. I gave it to my bridesmaids as part of their gift! It’s the perfect everyday neutral that gives a nod to the “brown” trend that’s been popular lately. I love how well it looks with a more bronze-based blush.

Clinique “Angel Red”

This color is a like a deep pink with reddish tones. I love Clinique’s silky smooth formula.

Winky Lux “Bunny”

This is the perfect silky light wine color. It’s great for those times when you don’t want to go “too dark” with your vampy lip.

Kat Von D “Lolita II”

This is one of my regulars. I’m a huge fan of liquid lipstick because of the “set it and forget it” mentality that tends to come with them. This one stays on and doesn’t flake off like some liquid lipstick formulas do. I love the subtle neutral orange color. I wear a lot of sienna/copper/burnt orange eyeshadows so this plays nicely with that type of palette.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Lip Balm in “Shameless”

This is one of my “fun” colors. I love to try new colors (within reason of course; I am a school teacher after all haha) and this purple doesn’t make me feel too crazy. I love the smooth lip crayon and it tastes lovely too.

MAC “Sin”

“Sin” is one of those vampy deep hues reserved for nights out and special occasions. I love this color when I am more tan as it tends to make me look like a vampire otherwise. I’ve heard it’s great on a variety of skin tones, too!
