Spiked Flower-Melon Tea

Spiked Flower Melon Tea

Hey everyone! Welcome back for another great drink recipe that is perfect to enjoy this weekend. This one takes a little bit of time to prepare, but it’s super worth it! I came up with this when I was at a work conference (so naturally I was thinking about drinking) and I had a bite of honey dew melon. The thought hit me that honey dew and jasmine would work so well together…but how should I combine them? Cold brewing!! So get up and grab your melons (you know what I mean…get your head out of the gutter!) because it’s time to make some Spiked Flower-Melon Tea!

~ Ingredients ~

4 oz. Cold Brewed Jasmine Green Tea in Honey Dew Juice

1 oz. Vodka

1/2 oz. Honey

3 Shakes Orange Bitters

Fresh Rosemary

Okay, let’s do this! You’re going to want to start by juicing honey dew melon and getting the cold brew going with the jasmine green tea. All I did was follow simple instructions online for how long to cold brew, but in general you should make this the night before and let it sit overnight. If you’re having a party with this one make sure to know how much juice you will need for your guests and plan accordingly.

Once you have your delicious cold brew it’s time to start mixing! Stir together the juice tea, vodka, honey, and bitters in a mixing glass until the honey is dissolved. Add ice to the glass and stir until the mixture is nice and cold. Finally, strain it into a collins glass filled with ice and garnish with rosemary and a fresh flower:

Look at that beauty! Okay, I’ll be honest…at first the flower garnish was just for show, but when I gave this drink a taste the floral smell really added to the experience. I truly recommend doing it!

So, there you have it! Go grab the ingredients and take your cold brew game to the next level. Cheers!!
