Whether it’s the Queen sipping English tea on The Crown or Kermit with his pinky up on a snippy meme–the phrase “pinky rings” seems to be trickling into pop culture everywhere we look!
For the past 5 years, these tiny rings have been having a MAJOR moment.

Pinky rings offer a touch of class and personalization that most beautiful baubles can’t touch. A classic statement piece that’ll stand the test of time, the pinky ring is such a personal accessory that’ll no doubt make its way into your daily look.
The first time I saw the pinky ring, Nate and I were watching The Crown last year (I know I’m late, haha) when I thought that Prince Phillip’s monogrammed pinky ring was so interesting–I HAD to know more! So down the rabbit hole I went…

The History
- originally worn by women/men on their left hands to show everyone “I’m single!”
- pinky rings were seen as a sign of wealth, class, and fashion
- many younger people started donning them in Paris in the early 1900s (much to the dismay of elitists)
- designer powerhouses now market them to represent fearlessness and empowerment
Nowadays, everywhere you look pinky rings are taking over the fashion scene and can be found on bloggers all over the world.
The two I’m loving right now are my monogram pinky ring from Etsy and my coin pinky ring one from Aurate!
Would you wear them?
